About The Foundation The Anonymous Internet Foundation, Inc. (“the Foundation”, formerly known as the John Does Anonymous Foundation) is a nonprofit public corporation established for the purpose of monitoring and ensuring privacy protection of the Public Forum, by identifying and exposing constitutional (legal) abuses and civil liberty violations being
undertaken by institutions such as certain government agencies and corporate entities, including many publicly traded corporations. Education and activism are the primary tools to meet this purpose. Hand in hand with combating these abuses, the Foundation's activities include the organization of a national referral network.
Through this network, the Foundation can assist “Does” in locating competent legal counsel, frequently on a pro bono basis, to defend, or assist in the defense, of Does who have been subject to unlawful abuse by plaintiffs who bring frivolous lawsuits for the purpose of silencing their critics on the internet. Qualified attorneys with interest in SLAPP litigation defense, and who may be willing to accept limited cases on a pro bono or reduced fee basis, should contact the foundation at the email address below.
Pursuant also to the general goals and Mission Statement, the Foundation licenses to internet service providers (ISP’s), web hosting services, and businesses and organizations providing internet web content to the public, a certification seal acknowledging the Foundation's approval that the licensed web site meets the Foundation's higher standards of privacy and security for use of the internet by the general public. The Foundation receives revenue
as a result of these licensing activities, which contributes to the support of the Foundation. While promoting the concept of open speech and access to all citizens, the Foundation itself does not lobby and does not engage in any political persuasion or debate. In addition to block grants from other agencies and organizations, the Foundation relies upon individual donations from the public.
