The @Mail Project TERMS OF SERVICE

Johndoes.org @Mail anonymous e-mail accounts are intended to offer a truly anonymous, completely private e-mail address which allows users, for example, to anonymously open accounts with other services which require an e-mail address. They can also be used for routine internet email communications. Your application for, and use of, an @Mail account constitutes acceptance of the following rules and policies:

  1. You agree to check and clear your e-mail at least once each 30 days. Accounts which have not been checked at least once in a 30-day period are subject to cancellation. Once cancelled, you could lose your user ID.

  2. It is not the purpose of @Mail anonymous e-mail accounts to conduct major file transfers or other such “heavy activity”. Therefore, each account is limited to a total storage capacity selected by the user (the maximum levels range from 5MB to 100MB).  Because of the limited storage capacity, you should clear your e-mails frequently by printing them out, deleting, or forwarding them to another e-mail address which has higher storage capacity. Also, if someone attempts to e-mail you a file larger than 1 megabyte, the file transfer will fail. There is no limit on how large a file you can send.

  3. Spamming and bulk e-mailing are strictly prohibited. Our mail servers are not designed to accomodate relaying or bulk emailing. Keep your distribution lists reasonable and for a proper purpose.

  4. The purpose of this account is to allow users to enjoy privacy.  Any use of this account for unlawful or fraudulent purposes is strictly prohibited, and violations will result in termination of the account.

  5. Any violation of the above terms will result in immediate cancellation of service.
