Foundation Announces Name ChangeFor Immediate Release-- November 30, 2002The Board Of Directors of John Does Anonymous Foundation has voted at its meeting of November 20, 2002, to approve the amendment of its articles of incorporation to change its name to Anonymous Internet Foundation.
"We believe that the name change will better present to the public what our purpose is as a public benefit organization", stated Mr. Les
French, President. "Ever since the terror attacks on New York and Washington last year, donations to the foundation have fallen dramatically, as has been experienced by most charitable organizations. In our case, we want to do a better job of packaging the benefit that we provide to the public, in the form of fighting for the protection of anonymous free speech on the internet."
The name change is expected to take place in early 2003, when it is anticipated that the
amendment to the Foundation's charter will be approved by the Oregon Secretary of State.
